King David’s Stars Academy Teams

King David’s Stars Academy compete at the top levels of Indoor and Outdoor Soccer in the GTA. For Indoor 2012/3 we have competitive teams for players born in:

2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008

Like professional Academies throughout the world, we train as a group, with players divided by skill level and experience, rather than necessarily by age. This constant challenge to get better by playing against better is a philosophy of the Academy. We have some players playing above their age group to keep them challenged. We also know that not each child develops at the the same rate. We are very focused on individual development. Under Head Coach and Technical Director’s Boris Krimus’ watchful eye, our cadre of coaches, the finest in the city, most of whom are teachers as well as coaches, deliver personal attention and many lessons that transcend the playing field.

The Club prides itself on discipline and commitment with a history decorated with many championships. We compete and have done so, 12 months a year since 1980, indoor and outdoor. The tradition continues in our new name – King David’s Stars Academy.

When you love what you’re doing and you’re good at it, and its good for you, why stop?

Maccabi Men’s 35+’s have been competing for over 15 years, at an elite level. Currently playing in the York Region Soccer League 1st Division our “boys” are Winners of the YRSL Gray Cup in 2006, and 2007, and Finalists in 2008, and 2009. The team includes many stars but is anchored by League leading goal scorer Dan Sankar and Brad Kalk, whose accomplishments with our club are measured in a long list of memories he continues to make, and has done so since 1986. In 2009 the team made it to the quarterfinals in the Ontario Cup before bowing out to the eventual Cup winners.

15 team members played on the 2009 Maccabi Canada Master’s Team.
